Hello everyone!
First off, thank you all so much for all of your passion and dedication in giving us your feedback on the Skullgirls Mobile Beta so far. It’s been extremely motivating to all of us as we continue along in development of the final version of the game. As 2016 comes to a close, we wanted to give everyone a quick update on where things stand with the game as whole.
Soooo, when is the game coming out? TL;DR: Soon! As you all know, we originally planned to release the game at the end of 2016. However, even though your feedback was overwhelmingly positive, it nonetheless identified a number of areas that we felt needed to be addressed before launching so we can do Skullgirls justice. While of course we hate to delay things (we’re eager to release it as well!), we’re committed to delivering the best possible Skullgirls experience on mobile, even if it means taking a little longer to do so.
We can’t wait to share more information on these features in the new year, but at a high level you can expect:
- Additional combat abilities to add more tactical choices to moment-to-moment gameplay
- More tactical depth in team construction and character “loadouts”
- Additional choices for character progression
We’re sure you still have a TON of questions! Many of us from Hidden Variable will still be here lurking on the forums to address as many of them as we can. That said, we’re going to be focusing most of our attention on the game itself pending our big announcement(s) early next year.
