Working on the combo system.
Those are dayum good hitsparks.
Tweaking hit detection. We have to use spheres since the characters are rotating constantly.
Cardinals wide attack is a medium strength attack with decent speed, good coverage and safe on block. Use this to check people trying to circle around you.
Cardinals neutral special "Spread Eagle". This is the DP equivalent. It's invincible up until the first hit-sphere activates and it's hella punishable on whiff or block.
Not bad, but the wings' movement seems out of touch with the rest of the animation
Close range combo
Long range combo
It's unbelievable that you're building all of this in a matter of weeks! When Mike comes back I bet he'll be impressed by this. Fighting game dev who's not all talk and has amazing talent.

3(technically 4) questions for you-
-Is the Controller Support ready?
-Is it optimized? all i have to do is One click and I'm in?
-was it made for lower end PCs or can it me set for lower PCs in the options?
-yes and you can also reconfigure controls from the startup menu.
-it runs well on our machines? Its a Unity application so yes its basically one click
-there are basic graphics quality controls when you start up the app.

Things that I found that you probs already know-(I use an XBOX 360 gamepad)
When I press Close(X) The game itself didn't freeze but the characters lock up and the hit sparks double up and Combo bar grows exponentially.(I had to restart the game to fix it)
It the characters push into each other they will lock up and stay in place, un able to rotate.(had to restart to fix)
Some nearly all the attacks(Except for light jab and and Cardinal Extend(the Uppercut move) makes the game chug a bit(could be my set up)(or it could be the hit sparks)
When I win as Red Cardinal it instead says Blue Jay wins.
Blue jay can be invulnerable sometimes.

Sometimes Blue Jay's health is stuck at 100 but he can still be K.Od
a double tap dash would be nice.
at the beginning of the match 10 hits! is on both sides for some reason.
Having an Option to have grab on (X)(A)[or AC in game] would be nice
Select as the shield for default is weird though i can just remap map it.

Here's concept art for our first environment: The Botanical Garden on the Charybdis Space Station. This is the meeting spot between Cardinal's misfits for hire and the Gerzil Cartel. The deal goes south and a melee ensues.
Work in progress on the 3D model.
Our 3D artist employed a modular approach so that parts of the environment can be easily reconfigured or reused. I.E. in the future we may add a beat-em-up style mode that expands on the existing environments by reusing the stuff that we've already built...
Woah, dat friggin exposition. We know so little about the story...
The story is still in flux. I have a few general plot points and I've developed the backstories for most of the characters but I need to bring in my writer pal to help me solidify the story. That will probably happen a bit later in development.

Nancy was once Cardinal’s bitter enemy. After being defeated by Cardinal in a battle to the death her then nemesis surprised her by sparing her life. Nancy being a nihilist had an existential crisis and became fascinated with Cardinal’s philosophy. They’ve been uneasy allies and casual lovers ever since.
We are in there bois! idk what a Clonelegger or a Two City E is but im hyped as fuck.
Dang! I like everything but her name, but I think that will grow on me too. I love her color coordination and the shape motif with the blades!

Any hope of a similar profile for Cardinal soon? All we really know is that he likes Capri Sun, leads a band of "misfits", is in there with Nancy, and apparently lives by a rather inspiring philosophy.

Cardinal is a wandering kleptomaniac/hippy with a mysterious past who’s searching for something. Suddenly the stars begin disappearing and the planets begin careening out of control. Cardinal and his partner Nancy find themselves embroiled in a quantum mystery that could spell disaster for the entire universe.
What I'm wondering is what kind of mobility based attacks youve got in the works. A swoop around to kick someone upside the head, a duck down into an uppercut in a V motion? Projectiles that circle around or split into multiple little orbiting projectiles? There's a lot of options and it makes me look forward to what kind of movesets these characters will have
Cardinal is still WIP but his current long-range arsenal is as follows:
neutral+A = QUICK SHOT
neutral+A, A, A = TRIPLE SHOT
Fires a projectile that travels in a straight line. Cancels into any Special or Super attack.
tilt+A = HEAVY STRIKE
tilt+A, A, A = TRIPLE STRIKE
Similar to the Quickshot, fires in a straight line but it has slower startup and faster travel speed. The last hit in the combo links into Quick Shot and cancels into Special or Super.
neutral+B = HOMING SHOT
neutral+B, B = DOUBLE HOMING
A slower projectile with a homing ability. Currently, it can circle around and hit the opponent from behind (lol that might change). Double Homing links into Quick Shot, Heavy Strike or Homing Shot.
tilt+B = HOMING BOMB
tilt+B (hold) = HEAVY HOMING BOMB
It has slower startup than the Homing Shot and does a lot of damage. If you hold down the B button you can charge it up and fire an even more damaging, faster-moving version. The uncharged bomb can link into any other attack on hit (except itself). The charged bomb can link into an uncharged bomb.
neutral+C = SWOOPING RAPTOR
neutral+C (hold) = LONG SWOOPING RAPTOR
Cardinal swoops toward the opponent, becomes projectile invulnerable shortly after startup. Hold for a longer range version. After the short swoop, you can link a close A into a combo. Far version knocks opponent too far away for any followups.
tilt+C = CARDINAL BEAM
Shoots a 4 hit beam attack. Tracks the opponent so you'll have to dash to avoid.
neutral+D = HYPER CARDINAL BEAM
More powerful version of the beam that has some invincibility on startup and does a ton of damage.
Separate names with a comma.
